The game may well be awesome for some, but Blizzard totaly missed the mark for most of us who waited for so long.
On the money. They don’t seem to understand that they are offering up a virtualy new game, whose only resemblance to the original, is one of the original seven classes, a few of the bosses and a title. The change is too drastic to call it an upgrade or an expansion. This is what we are put off by. If people want to play a new game, more power to them. But for us old timers, this resmbles the game we love only in the most minimul terms.

Then you would realize the monk doesnt bring in as much blood as all the other classes. Not to mention, I really doubt anything of what you said is true.
i obviously have played them, in fact i was top 5 bvb ladder us east, and my sorceress was #3 on us east ladder so i think i would know what i am saying

I think they should’ve just re-released D2 – because I just want to play the same game, over and over again.
Trying to change content between games – Blizzard obviously have no idea what theyre doing and don’t know how to make games. Someone should tell them that if they make a good game they should just keep remaking it forever and ever with better graphics, because we miss our old character types so much we just can’t live without them.

@TheHeavenlyfall Palis were cool, so was the necromancer and druid. All of the old classes were great. It looks like now Bizz was in a hurry to produce something, and had to cut some content. I THINK they saved a lot of time by not having to develope skills for all the old classes.
So now they have A very physical toon, the barbarin, a good spiritual warrior, the monk, and an evil spiritual toon the witchdocter. At least they gave an effort to cover the gammit

@Cwjd I even gave torchlight a try,diablo 2 is a game like never before,a week ago blizz released the raid in northlands (forgot the name) and what if someone played a paladin and finished it? what then? were they raped by some ressurected andariel? BLIZZ should keep their story line stable ,the barbarian is great i like him,but no paladins,no necromancers,i mean cmon who doesnt miss zeal ,holy freeze and decripify with some revives added,all im saying is they kinda messed it up
@cwjd I think this game would at best apeal to someone who has never played Diablo. Sad. I did so like that series.
@TheHeavenlyfall I agree with you. I think a lot of old D2 LoD players are playing another Blizz game now. And I don’t think Bizz will pull them back with this. Sad realy, they rolled patch after patch for WoW, expac after expac. While Diablo stayed so far on the back burner, they would not even give us something to hope for. Not even one word.
They messed up not leaving in all the old classes. People who loved thier old class, wont come back to give a monk or a shaman try.
